Twelve higher education institutions have joined forces to create the IAVFF, a French institute for agricultural, veterinary and forestry science.
The IAVFF will be supervised by the ministry for agriculture and the ministry for higher education and research. Inra, the national institute for agricultural research, and Irstea, the national research institute for the environment and agriculture, are also involved.
IAVFF members will be able to coordinate joint research activities and strategies, a government press release said. The institute will also oversee technical agricultural teaching and training.
