The French government has set up a research unit charged with raising the quality of data on employment in the country.
According to a government statement published on 30 November, the unit has been established within the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts, a grande école and doctoral school in Paris.
The unit, called the Centre of Study for Work and Employment (CEET), would undertake research to better inform both public debate and policy around employment in France, the statement said. It would also build links between researchers and the Ministry of Labour.
