Thierry Mandon, France's outgoing secretary of state for higher education and research, will take up a position as director of Rollin Publications, an independent journalism publisher, this month.
Mandon’s appointment at Rollin was reported by the newspaper Libération on 1 May and confirmed by Mandon to the Acteurs Publics news site.
Rollin Publications was set up in 2008 by journalist Patrick de Saint Exupéry and Laurent Beccaria, an editor. It publishes two titles, both of which are available in print and online: the quarterly current affairs magazine XXI and the biannual photojournalism publication 6 Mois. The company plans to launch a weekly news magazine in 2018.
