Paris-Sud takeover of Paris-Saclay edges closer

Paris-Sud University is forging ahead with plans to take sole leadership of the beleaguered Paris-Saclay University project, according to leaked documents.

All of Paris-Sud University’s “projects, property and personnel will be transferred to Paris-Saclay University and Paris-Sud University will disappear as a legal entity as a result,” excerpts from a leaked document published by the news service EducPros on 15 September, said.

The Paris-Saclay University aims to group together 19 higher education institutions with various levels of integration, but has been beset by infighting since plans for the partnership were unveiled in 2008.
