Merger to create green institute for agriculture, food and the environment

An ongoing consolidation of French research institutes continues with the announcement of a merger overseen by the ministries of higher education, research and innovation, and agriculture and food.

IRSTEA, the National Institute for Research in Science and Technology for the Environment and Agriculture, and INRA, the National Institute of Agricultural Research, will merge to form a new body, the National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE).
