Dakar’s Université Cheikh Anta Diop to host the first international symposium on open access

Open-access publication will be in the spotlight in the developing world this week with the launch of the first “Open Science in the South” symposium being held in Dakar.

CIRAD, the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development, and IRD, France’s Research Institute for Development, are co-organising the event. The symposium is hosted by the Confucius Institute at the l’Université Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD) in the Senegalese capital. It will run from 23-25 October.
