Nursing promoted as distinct field of medical research following government decision

A series of decrees by France’s Council of Ministers has paved the way for researcher positions in nursing, midwifery and rehabilitation, including the possibility of earning doctorates in those fields.

The decision, taken on 30 October, will result in the creation of three specialist sections of the National Council of Universities, meaning that research professors can now be hired in the fields.
