Pierre Brissot says publishing bottlenecks are harming medical science in France

Scientific research in medicine is essential for human health and should be published openly, according to Pierre Brissot, hepatologist and member of the French Academy of Medicine.

In an article published in Le Figaro, Brissot warned that scientific and medical research in France is being harmed by problems and bottlenecks in the publication system. Researchers—as well as the public at large—should have free access to the most up-to-date data and papers.
