Dip in ANR applications
France’s national research agency, the ANR, has said it received 6,560 eligible applications to its responsive-mode streams this year. This was a drop of 404 on the previous year. The agency said that 2,735 of the outline applications had been selected to move on to the full application phase, which has a deadline of 26 March. In 2018, the overall success rate for the ANR’s responsive mode schemes was 14.1 per cent.
