The Federal University of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées is to host five of the 24 projects that will share €109 million over 10 years as part of the government’s graduate school research scheme.

The 24 winning projects were selected from 81 proposals by an international jury headed by Malcolm Grant, a former president and provost of University College London, according to a government statement published on 29 August.

Thanks to the funding, the Federal University of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées—a consortium of 31 universities, grandes écoles and public research institutions—will set up graduate schools for PhD and masters students in the fields of biotechnology, cancer, mathematics, astronomy and plant biology.
