Letter to French academics puts last year’s LPPR plan back on the agenda
France’s research minister has revealed that she will reintroduce the much-maligned multi-annual research plan—the loi de programmation pluriannuelle de la recherche.
A reference to the LPPR was tucked away in a letter sent to the country’s academics on 13 May, thanking researchers for their work during the coronavirus crisis. Two paragraphs in the letter said that the reform—which will revamp research funding and change the country’s salary system for academics—will go ahead.
