Government body of experts tasked with bolstering R&D and making country a health leader
France is seeking to become Europe’s leading nation in health innovation through the newly launched Strategic Council for Health Industries 2021—dubbed CSIS.
The council was formally established on 11 February by health minister Olivier Véran and Agnès Pannier-Runacher, minister delegate to the economy minister. The CSIS 2021 will consist of five people: engineer Agnès Audier, doctor of pharmacy Muriel Dahan, Sorbonne University professor of ophthalmology José-Alain Sahel, immunologist and entrepreneur Lyse Santoro, and oncologist and Paris-Saclay professor Jean-Charles Soria.
