Wiley-Couperin partnership allows authors to also publish in national open access repository

French researchers will have free access to 1,400 hybrid journals following the completion of a deal between publisher Wiley and the Couperin Consortium, a collective representing most major French higher education and research institutions.

The agreement—the first on such a scale to be signed by Couperin—will grant researchers at member institutions access to all of Wiley’s hybrid and subscription journals. Researchers will also be able to publish accepted articles on an open-access basis in all of Wiley’s 1,400 hybrid journals. Articles will also be deposited in the French national research paper archive Hal.
