Government claims vindication of open-science policy, but variation between disciplines remains pronounced

The proportion of open-access publications from scientists based in France rose to 67 per cent in 2022, figures published by the government show.

Statistics from the government’s Open Science Barometer 2022 show the proportion of open-access publications involving one or more scientist based in France has climbed by 5 percentage points since 2021, 15 points since 2020 and 29 since 2018.
