Extra ‘deep tech’ funding leads to expansion of cluster scheme
The French government has announced that its PUI competition for regional innovation centres is likely to fund more than the 25 hubs it expected to support.
A call published in December by the ANR, France’s national research agency, said that 20 hubs were expected to be funded in addition to five that had already been supported through a pilot programme. But on 11 April, the government published a shortlist of 29 universities who had applied or were going to apply for inclusion in the scheme, saying that all were “likely to benefit from funding to deploy or consolidate” an innovation hub.
