Freedom of expression of growing concern in French research

Ethics body notes flurry of referrals from research institutes and organisations

For the first time in its five-year history, the French College of Ethics in Higher Education, Research and Innovation was called on to give guidance on freedom of expression issues in 2022.

It was also contacted by public research organisations for the first time, whereas previously all referrals had come from universities, its annual report for 2022 showed.
