Ten research projects in €70 million programme already underway
The French government has launched a research programme with a €70 million budget to run for six and a half years, with the aim of accelerating the development of disruptive industrial technologies to reduce carbon emissions.
The programme will be overseen jointly by the CNRS, France’s largest public research organisation, and IFP Energies Nouvelles, formerly known as the French Institute of Petroleum, a public-interest organisation that receives its funding partially from the government and partly from oil, gas and energy companies.
