France’s €165m regional innovation centres announced

PSL University and Paris-Saclay awarded €11 million each to set up PUI hubs

French minister of higher education and research Sylvie Retailleau has announced the list of 29 projects that will share a total of €165 million to set up University Innovation Hubs (PUIs)—regional clusters intended to spur the commercialisation of research.

The 29 projects are comprised of 24 full awards for PUIs and five ‘complementary’ projects which, a government statement said, “will have to engage in a preliminary structuring process” and will be subject to further assessment before a full PUI award is made.
