Government to split leadership of engineering school and research cluster

The French government has used the departure of Eric Labaye from his role as president of École Polytechnique as an opportunity to reorganise the prestigious engineering school’s senior management and develop its research and innovation capabilities.

Labaye came to the end of his five-year term as president on 16 September. He was replaced on an interim basis by Laura Chaubard, who had previously been the school’s director-general.
