Airspace centre funds fallout research from Mars500 experiment

The German Aerospace Centre (DLR) is funding research into the brains of six astronauts who spent 520 days in an isolated container as part of the Mars500 project.

A team of DLR researchers will study brain scans of the crewmembers to see whether the prolonged isolation had an effect on their brains. The DLR announced on 28 November that it would fund 10 projects related to the Mars500 experiment, but did not say how much money would be available.
