AWI coordinates EU permafrost project

An international research project on carbon dioxide escape from thawing earth in Arctic regions kicked off on 7 November.

The EU-funded project, coordinated by the Alfred-Wegener-Institute for Polar Research, unites researchers from 11 countries, who will do long-term studies and models of permafrost-bound carbon dioxide.
