Cefic award for water cleaning system

A German chemist has won this year’s Long-Range Initiative grant, worth €100,000, awarded by Cefic, the chemical industry’s EU lobby group.

Thomas Peuss, a researcher at Aachen University, received the prize at a ceremony in Brussels on 17 November. He won for his work on cleaning systems for chemical-contaminated waters, such as lakes, rivers and ponds.
