Leopoldina open day will show off new building

The Leopoldina, Germany’s science academy, is holding an open day on 17 December to show off its new main building, which will be officially occupied by the organisation in January.

The building, based in the academy’s birth city of Halle, was bought and refurbished by the German government for €15 million this year to house the ever-growing institution. The Leopoldina was awarded the status of national science academy in 2008, and his since grown significantly.
