A total of 21 universities of applied science in North Rhine-Westphalia are to share €5 million they won for excellence in applied research.
The winners were chosen under the Land’s FH-Extra competition, which aims to award research at universities of applied science, that are similar to UK polytechnics. The competition attracted 59 applicants this year, all with partners from industry.
