Hessia cuts funding for mismanaged business school

The government of Hessia is to cut funding for the local European Business School by at least €800,000, following the uncovering of irregularities in the school’s accounts.

The EBS had received €17 million from Hessia’s government in higher education funding for 2009 and 2010. The budget cut, announced on 20 July, is the result of a detailed investigation.
