Volkswagen Foundation research spending tops €111m

The Volkswagen Foundation, based in Hannover, Germany, has spent €111.5 million in 2010 on research and development projects, a 9 per cent increase over the previous year, it announced on 1 July.

This amount includes €56.9m spent specifically in the Lower Saxony region, where the foundation is based, and €53.6m on general subsidies, distributed among 293 projects.
