North Rhine-Westphalia’s research minister has tried to diffuse fears that the Land’s education system is ill-prepared to cope with the double student cohort expected in 2013.
“The Land will invest more than €10 billion in education to 2020,” Svenja Schulze told a conference of ministers on 4 August. “All young people who want to go to university should have the chance to do so.”
