Climate scientists win Helmholtz funding

Three research teams from the Alfred-Wegener-Institute for Polar Research are to receive up to €1.5 million for climate change projects.

The groups, which together involve 20 early-career scientists, were selected for funding by the Helmholtz Association of German research centres on 27 September. They will receive funding over five to six years to research climate change in the Arctic and its effects, including sea levels rise, on the world’s climate.
