Bavaria takes biggest share of Leibniz Prizes

Three of this year’s 10 Leibniz Prizes for excellent research in Germany have gone to scientists based in Bavaria, more than to any other Land.

The prizes have been awarded to a lecturer on manufacturing technologies at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, a children’s health researcher at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and a biologist at the Technical University Munich.
