NRW launches fund for female researchers

North Rhine-Westphalia has earmarked €1.5 million from its annual research budget to support female early-career researchers aiming for a professorial post.

The funding will go towards women in postdoc research who are striving for an academic career. The fund is part of the Land’s gender equality programme for higher education, which has an annual budget of €5.4m and funds gender research and early-career scientists.
