Leibniz members plan better research focus

Germany’s university research institutes are planning to develop more and stronger research focal points to cope with global challenges.

The announcement was made as part of a Leibniz Association position paper, issued on 2 August. The Association, a collection of 86 university research institutes, said that stronger focus on relevant fields would increase the effectiveness and public visibility of university research.
