Ocean research agreement with Canada signed

The Helmholtz Association and Canada’s Halifax Marine Research Institute signed a research cooperation agreement on 16 August in the presence of the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.

The main focus of the alliance is research into changes in ocean ecology, and exploration of Atlantic and the Arctic. The work will be carried out by two networks, Marine Environmental Observation, Prediction and Response (MEOPAR) and ArcticNet.
