The university clinic at the University of Saarland in Homburg is to get a new research centre for internal medicine in an attempt to boost the excellence of the institution.
Construction for the facility, which will combine research laboratories with patient care, was started on 30 August. The Saarland government hosted a ceremony to mark the event, which was chaired by Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, the Saarland’s ministerial president.
