The Stifterverband has launched a competition for researchers to create a video about their work—with a €20,000 award to lure applicants.
The Fast Forward Science competition is supposed to encourage scientists to use video in order to explain their work to the public. The videos should be no more than five minutes long, but can be “experimental”, the Stifterverband, an association of German science funders, said.
The competition is coordinated jointly between the Stifterverband and Wissenschaft im Dialog (Science in dialogue), the Stifterverband’s science outreach organisation.
