Düsseldorf centre to focus on social impacts of change

A research centre for science-based social development has opened in Düsseldorf.

Researchers at the centre, launched on 13 November and known as the FWGW, will work on topics such as the social impact of the digitisation of industry and the impact of demographic change on urban development.

The researchers will provide “science-based proposals” to advise state policymakers and civil society organisations, according to a statement by North Rhine-Westphalia’s government.
