Muslim students funded

The Avicenna-Studienwerk has awarded its first scholarships to 65 Muslim students at German universities.

Avicenna is one of 13 Studienwerke in Germany—bodies that receive state funding to award grants to deserving students.

Undergraduate grantees will receive €670 a month, and postgraduate students will receive up to €1,150 a month. About two-thirds of the scholars are women.
