Baden-Württemberg plans changes to university teaching

The research ministry of the German state of Baden-Württemberg has said it will spend €100 million on diversifying teaching formats between 2016 and 2020.

The funding, which will be distributed through competitive calls, will support: improved course accessibility; novel teaching and learning formats for science and problem-solving; and strengthened employability and citizenship elements of higher education.

A particular focus will be on diversifying how courses are offered and taught to reflect student diversity, the ministry said.
