Bavaria and the Czech Republic are planning to step up collaboration on history and art research as part of a collaboration agreement.
The deal was made between Ludwig Spaenle, Bavaria’s science minister, and Daniel Herman, the culture minister of the Czech Republic. The two partners will provide joint funding for research at museums and preservation activities at historic sites, as well as money for art exhibitions and theatre, the Bavarian research ministry said in a statement on 4 May.
“We’ve spent the past years approaching each other, and creating joint cultural initiatives,” said Spaenle. Now it was time to “intensify what we have started".
