Germany will establish six more research institutes for flight and space technology after the government agreed to increase funding for the DLR, Germany's aerospace centre, by €42 million.
One of the priorities of the DLR is to conduct research on digital technologies that complement air and space travel, a statement from the organisation said. Accordingly, the organisation plans to found three new centres in Hamburg, Dresden and Augsburg.
