Three international researchers have been chosen to receive up to €5 million each as the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s latest professors.
Alexander von Humboldt Professorships, the best-endowed prizes of their type in Germany, bring international researchers to the country to carry out research for five years. A total of six researchers have been chosen this year, with the first three announced in May.
The latest winners are all based in the United States. They are Peter Baumann, a cell biologist at the University of Kansas Medical Center; James Conant, a philosopher at the University of Chicago; and Wolf Frommer, a plant molecular biologist at Stanford University.
