A new prize will fund universities to get companies involved in the Deutschlandstipendium, a national scholarship programme.
Up to three universities will be awarded €10,000 each by the Stifterverband, an association of German research funders. This should be used to increase the engagement of companies, foundations and philanthropists in the Deutschlandstipendium scheme.
The Deutschlandstipendium initiative funds talented students with €300 a month—half of which must come from private sources and be arranged by the university.
