The German engineering company Siemens has announced plans to set up a robotics research centre at Tsinghua University in Beijing.
The centre, announced on 14 September, will focus on combined mechanics and electronics, human-robot collaboration and the application of artificial intelligence, Reuters reported.
“Siemens is investing heavily in the future of China and partnering with the country and many customers on its way to digitalization,” Siemens’ chief technology officer Roland Busch told Reuters.
