FU Berlin issues reprimand but sees no reason to withdraw Franziska Giffey's thesis

Germany’s minister for family affairs, Franziska Giffey, has been issued with a reprimand but will keep her PhD following an investigation into alleged plagiarism, the Freie Universität Berlin has announced.

After an investigation into the minister’s doctoral thesis, the university said it would not deprive her of her title. However, the university’s board issued a reprimand, as per instructions from its examination committee.
