DFG picks beneficiaries of €200m bonanza

Ten collaborative centres will be created to spend annual SFB pot

The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), Germany’s largest public funder, will create 10 centres to support and strengthen top-level academic research.

The Collaborative Research Centres (SFBs) were chosen by a grants committee, and will initially be funded for four years, starting on 1 July 2020. In total, the centres will receive around €114 million during the initial funding period, the DFG said.
