DAAD issues guidance on working with Russia

Political pressure makes dent in Germany's cooperation opportunities, academic exchange body finds

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), a body that promotes international collaboration, has said that opportunities for collaboration with Russia are narrowing due to politics.

The DAAD’s comments were made as it issued revised guidelines for German-Russian cooperation, based on an analysis of experiences from different scientific disciplines after the implementation of a roadmap on cooperation between the two countries in 2018. In the document, the DAAD identifies opportunities for scientific and academic research in the natural and social sciences, as well as in technology transfer.
