Beuth university name change scheduled for October

Institution chooses new identity after discovering antisemitic leanings of its namesake

The Beuth University of Applied Sciences will formally rename itself as Berlin University of Applied Sciences, in a move revealed last week.

The identity change is the result of a three-year process of consideration and research among staff, students and the local community, the university said. The name change will be implemented on 1 January this year, pending approval by the Berlin senate.
