German universities lack strategy for digital teaching, survey finds

Responses show eagerness to develop online formats, mixed with uncertainty about picking the best approach

Universities in Germany want to maintain and develop digital teaching formats introduced during the Covid-19 pandemic, a survey has shown.

University leaders said that face-to-face teaching would decrease in the future and that they wanted to meet the challenge with aplomb. However, the survey results also showed a marked lack of knowledge about how this could best be approached.
