Hamburg universities seek better working conditions

      

Declaration proposes balanced mix of permanent and fixed-term contracts

Hamburg’s state universities want to increase the proportion of academic staff on permanent contracts, provided the changes to be made are affordable, according to the Hamburg State University Conference (LHK).

In a statement, LHK said it aims to introduce measures that will help make careers in Hamburg more attractive, secure jobs for skilled workers, and support the universities in fulfilling their various roles.
