Germany rates highly among talent from abroad, but survey shows concerns about paperwork

International researchers rate Germany highly as a destination to further their career but are put off by high levels of red tape, a survey has shown.

The survey, undertaken by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, found that German research infrastructure, its quality of research and the availability of funding for projects received top ratings among academics from abroad. Equally high marks were also awarded to the internationality of German research institutions and to the availability of childcare.
