Experienced counsellors will offer support to victims of online harassment
The German Association for University Communication and Science in Dialogue, or the Bundesverband Hochschulkommunikation, has set up a nationwide contact point for academics facing online harassment and bullying.
Known as Scicomm support, the service has been created in collaboration with WiD (Wissenschaft im Dialog), an organisation dedicated to the public communication of science. It will provide help and guidance to scientists affected by ‘digital violence’ and inaccurate reporting of scientific information.
